ReleasePad and Relnotely are the two tools on this site's comparison list that both charge a flat price rather than by seat or active user. They differ in what that price includes, and in what each has chosen to leave out.

- The page described the price as flat, with no per-seat fees and no usage tiers.

- Your changelog on your own domain, an in-app widget, and email to subscribers who confirm their address.
- A page of its own for every entry, and an Atom feed.
- Import from a feed, a CSV or a
CHANGELOG.md. - No Relnotely badge, watermark or "powered by" link on your changelog, on any plan. Our name appears in one place: the small print under the subscribe form, which says who stores an address entered there, and the footer's links to our privacy policy and terms for the same reason.
- No third-party scripts on your changelog.
Writing is free and needs no card; publishing starts a 7-day trial. One login per account, and one changelog.

Where ReleasePad may suit you better
- More than one person writes. Unlimited team members are listed on Pro; Relnotely is one login.
- You want entries drafted from your pull requests, or an API and webhooks to publish from a pipeline.
- You want to know which updates get read. Their page lists per-post analytics; Relnotely deliberately has none.
- You want to schedule posts, or to start on a free tier with no time limit.
Our view
Opinion, not a claim about ReleasePad: they have built more than we have, and for a team that wants automation and analytics the extra $16 a month is easy to justify. Our bet is narrower: a lower price, an email list with confirmed subscribers built in, your history imported on day one, and a page that loads nothing from anyone else and counts nobody who reads it. Which of those two shapes fits is a real choice, not a trick question.
Moving from ReleasePad
Their pricing page lists RSS and JSON feeds. Point Relnotely's importer at the RSS feed, read the preview, and import: original dates are kept, duplicates skipped, and nobody is emailed. Previewing is free and needs no card.
