Where LaunchNotes may suit you better
- Release communication is somebody's job, across several teams and stakeholders.
- You need a roadmap and feedback management beside the announcements; both are listed on Growth.
- You need segmentation, so different audiences see different things.
- Procurement is involved: SSO, SAML, an account manager, a custom SLA and custom contracts are all listed on their plans.
- You run several products and want several pages under one account, listed on Premium.
Our view
Opinion, not a claim about LaunchNotes: their plans are built for organisations where announcements pass through people and process, and priced accordingly. If shipping and writing it up is something you do between other work, we think the right tool is one page, one price and no demo call — which is the one we built.
Moving from LaunchNotes
Relnotely imports from a feed, a CSV or a CHANGELOG.md, keeping original dates and skipping anything already there. Previewing the import is free and needs no card, so you can see your own history in Relnotely before deciding.
Questions
- What does LaunchNotes cost?
- As of 20 September 2026 their pricing page listed Growth at $249 a month billed annually, including one LaunchNotes page and two users, and a custom-priced Premium plan adding advanced segmentation, full white-labelling, multiple pages and a dedicated account manager. Check launchnotes.com for current prices.
- Is Relnotely an alternative to LaunchNotes?
- For the release-notes part — a public page on your domain, an in-app widget and email to subscribers — yes. Relnotely has no roadmap, no feedback management and no segmentation, all of which their pricing page lists, so it does not replace the rest.
- Can I try Relnotely without talking to anyone?

- How many users does each include?
- Relnotely is one login per account. As of 20 September 2026 LaunchNotes listed two users on Growth, with a custom user count on Premium.
