Their pricing page defines a tracked user as any user associated with feedback — someone who has posted, voted or commented, or had that done on their behalf. As of 22 September 2026, plans were sized by that number.

Is Relnotely an alternative to Canny?

Only for the changelog. Canny is a feedback management product with a changelog among its features; Relnotely publishes release notes to a page, a widget and an email list, and has no feedback boards, voting or roadmap.

Where Canny may suit you better

Feedback is the job. Capturing, deduplicating and prioritising requests is what their plans are built around, and Relnotely does none of it.
You want the changelog tied to the requests it answers, so people who asked for something hear when it ships.
You need integrations with Jira, Linear, Intercom, Zendesk or a CRM, all listed on their page.
You can start on their free plan, which their page lists with 25 tracked users.

Our view

Opinion, not a claim about Canny: if you need feedback management, buy feedback management, and the changelog that comes with it may well be enough. If what you need is a changelog that looks like part of your own site, on your domain, read by people who never gave feedback, a tool that does only that is simpler and costs less than a suite's paid tier.

Moving from Canny

Relnotely imports a changelog from an RSS or Atom feed, a CSV export or a CHANGELOG.md, keeping original dates and skipping duplicates, and emails nobody about imported entries. Previewing is free and needs no card.
